absolutely not !…īelieve me I’m always sceptical of negative reviews and take some with a pinch of salt… but I’m reviewing this as honestly as I can… So start with the good… Hotel is beautiful, Jae dropping when walking in even though we’d arrived tired and in the early hours. very stressful fighting through masses of rude people and the staff wasn’t much better in my opinion.
it’s crazy busy whatever time we went in. they really couldn’t be further from the truth. no please or thank you no manners at all in the dining room and don’t believe the videos you see on the Marden palace site. and some totally arrogant ones expecting everyone else to move to one side and I mean step off the path to allow their whole family to pass. no consideration for any other human being. made worse if that’s even possible by the parents having literally no control over them and allowing them to be so badly behaved in the first place.
I am ok with children as long as they are well behaved but we encountered screaming children morning noon and during the night. all that aside we presumed wrongly that there would not be many children in such a high class and expensive hotel. no map no directions just had to suss it all out for ourselves…. we felt once we were taken to our room we were left to our own devices. don’t get me wrong the hotel is magnificent and some of the staff are very nice. to say I was disappointed is an understatement.
after waiting many months to come here and having seen this hotel on a documentary a few years ago. Last day today and I can’t wait to leave.
